Friends of June Mountain

We got LOTS of things going on for the winter. We now have several bids in for decorating our town this winter. Plan on making a trip to June this winter to see the lights alone. Also check out the cross country skiing and snowshoeing, winter play areas and possibly a firework show or two. We also are going to have lots of live entertainment this winter.

This Tuesday Aug. 7 Bridgebort CA at 10:00 there is a Board of Supervisors. Board of Supervisors Meeting This Tuesday Aug 7 is a very important meeting. The final agenda is discussing any emergency funding and subsidy to June Lake, the agenda could give $200,000 for the community to bring people, and events to our beloved town. We need fill the meeting with community members. PLEASE COME OUT AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!!

Last night's community update meeting led by the "Keep June Open Coalition". Was sobering to say the least. There were CAC members, a couple of members of the Board of Supervisors, National Forest Service, MMSA representatives and our strong community.

At Magic Mountain Ski Area in Vermont, shareholders honestly don't receive much at all. Discounted season passes but that's about it. The real reason we had shareholders step up to the plate is we can't stand to see the place close. I realize that's not very specific but Magic is a very unique place & extremely special to a lot of people.
